AACE Foods is into food processing, packaging, marketing and distribution of nutritious and tasty products made from the best of West Africa’s fruits, herbs, vegetables and cereals. The main product lines consist of spices, spreads, sauces and complimentary food that excite and satisfy institutional, commercial and retail customers across Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Research and Development Manager

Location: Ota, Ogun (On-site)

Job type: Full-time

Sector: Food Processing and Distribution

Core Duties

Create and manage the new product development pipeline portfolio.

Collaborates cross-functionally to drive the Customer to Concept process to bring new products to market.

Identify marketing opportunities by analyzing and defining market share, competitor market share, and available market share by product market.

Provide leadership and support for the design, development, refinement, and implementation of products by initiating research to identify consumer needs; develop new products to meet consumer needs; research consumer acceptance of products; work with production to identify process improvement.

Prioritize new concepts/products through the development process which includes:

Formula and costing creation

Customer/Market test

Production Scale up

Assess market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products

Maintain knowledge on all regulatory issues as relating to the company’s products and ensure compliance.

Educational Requirements:

Minimum of a First Degree in Food Science and Technology or related fields.

Relevant certifications will be an advantage.

Years of relevant experience: 7years experience in product development processes within the food industry

Skills Required:

Creativity and innovativeness.

Excellent project management skills.

Fast paced and analytical.

Team player with good communication skills.
