Job Responsibilities:
Project Planning

Develop comprehensive project plans, including project scope, budget, schedule and resource allocation.
Create project timelines, milestones, deliverables for each project at hand.

Construction Expertise

Possess specialized knowledge in road and bridge construction, including construction methods, materials and relevant regulations.
Oversee the construction of roads, bridges and related infrastructure projects.

Quality Control

Ensure that all roadworks and bridge construction work adheres to the design specification and meets industry standards and safety regulations.
Implement quality control processes and inspection.

Budget Management

Monitor project costs and expenditures, controlling the project’s financial performance.
Address cost overruns and implement cost-saving measures when necessary.

Time Management

Manage project schedules to meet deadlines and milestones.

Safety and Environmental Considerations

Maintain detailed project records and documentation, including progress reports, change orders and construction documentation
Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to management and stakeholders.
Address any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or its equivalent from a reputable University
MBA/M.Sc. is an added advantage
Minimum of 7 years’ relevant professional experience with at least 5 years in asenior management role
Proven experience as a Project Manager in roadworks and bridge construction projects.
In-depth knowledge of road and bridge construction techniques, materials and best practices.
Strong leadership, team management and communication skills.
Familiarity with relevant regulations, permits and safety standards in the
construction industry.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is an added advantage.
