We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Intern, Business Development
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Internship
Duration: 3 - 6months (with potential to extend or convert to full-time)
Job Summary
- We’re looking for a keen, self-motivated, and curious Business Development Intern to support the CEO and gain hands-on experience in how deals get secured, clients are won, and growth strategies come to life — all while building skills that will set you apart in Nigeria’s competitive job market.
Responsibilities
Market & Client Research:
- Research Nigerian and African companies in high-growth sectors (e.g., Lagos-based fintechs, Abuja SMEs, Port Harcourt logistics firms).
- Build target lists of potential clients and partners — including startups, investors, and industry associations.
Outreach & Communication:
- Draft and schedule professional intro emails and LinkedIn messages (You will be given templates + coaching).
- Help prepare pitch decks, one-pagers, and briefing notes for client meetings.
CRM & Pipeline Tracking:
- Log and update prospect info in our CRM (HubSpot or simple Google Sheets to start — we’ll train you).
- Track which messages get replies, which industries respond fastest — and help us improve!
Meeting & Project Support:
- Schedule and prep for Zoom/Teams calls with founders, investors, and business owners across Nigeria.
- Take meeting notes, summarize key points, and help follow up on action items.
Admin & Operations Support:
- Help manage the CEO’s calendar — juggling client calls, investor meetings, and industry events.
- Organize shared folders, client materials, and internal resources for easy access.
Learning & Growth:
- Sit in on real strategy calls and pitch meetings — see how deals actually get closed in the Nigerian market.
- Get weekly feedback + mentorship from the CEO and team.
Requirements
- Currently studying (or recently graduated) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Mass Communication, or any field - we care more about your hustle than your major.
- Passionate about how Nigerian businesses grow.
- Strong communicator: you can write clearly in English, speak confidently, and aren’t afraid to ask questions.
- Organized and proactive — you manage your time well, meet deadlines, and take ownership.
- Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) — bonus if you’ve touched CRM tools, Canva, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- If you have run a side hustle or campus business, it would be an added advantage.
Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 Monthly. (dependent on experience).
