Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Part-Time Website Developer with expertise in WordPress to join our small yet dynamic team. As a WordPress Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include managing a few websites and ensuring their optimal functionality, security, and performance. Collaborating closely with our design and marketing teams, you will play a crucial role in implementing web solutions aligned with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.

Customize and optimize WordPress themes and templates to meet project requirements.

Ensure website security through the implementation of best practices and security measures.

Collaborate with designers and content creators to implement website updates and improvements.

Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, or performance bottlenecks.

Perform regular website backups and updates.

Support and maintain existing websites, including making updates, adding new features, and addressing user inquiries.

Conduct server administration and maintenance tasks to ensure website stability and performance.

Implement and manage website security measures, including firewalls, malware scanning, and user access controls.

Conduct regular website backups and administer backup restoration when necessary.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web development.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, HND, or OND qualification with 3 - 10 years of work experience.

Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or in a similar role.

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS and its ecosystem.

Experience with responsive web design principles.

Familiarity with SEO best practices.

Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce).

Knowledge of website optimization techniques.

Graphic design skills or familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.

Salary

N30,000 monthly.
