POSITION SUMMARYThe Role of the VP, Strategic Accounts is to provide dedicated account leadership, coordination, and oversight to a very high revenue and/or strategic growth customer(s). This is a highly visible role within the company, supporting the growth and retention of our most valued and highest profile customers. Your focus will be on building relationships with Change Healthcares most important customers and developing partnerships with internal parties. A successful VP, Strategic Accounts will consistently exhibit the following attributes:CUSTOMER - Creates a trusted advisor relationship with key stakeholders within the customer organization. The Strategic Account Manager demonstrates a deep understanding of the market forces affecting our customers and offers insight into new ways Change Healthcare can provide greater value. The Strategic Account Manager must be a change agent by articulating the case for change and helping the customer realize the improved business impact of appropriate use of Change Healthcare services.BUSINESS -The VP, Strategic Accounts is responsible for sustainable growth through routinely partnering with the Change Healthcare Sales Organization and other Change Healthcare personnel to strategize on ways to create new opportunities within the accounts they service. This role is responsible for the profitability of Change Healthcares services through contract management, including Service Level Agreements, product utilization and revenue growth.DELIVERY - The VP, Strategic Accounts must be proficient in understanding the entire Change Healthcare RCM services/product portfolio and be able to articulate the value of these offerings to our customers. This individual will partner with our customers to ascertain their business priorities to develop short- and long-term strategies for delivery of Change Healthcare services and products that align with their business objectives. The VP, Strategic Accounts is responsible for excellent delivery of services across all lines of business.LEADERSHIP - This role requires strong communications skills and imaginative, bold thinking in all situations. At times, the VP, Strategic Accounts must be able to lead teams comprised of various internal resources, partners, and customer resources.   • Provide single point of contact for escalated customer issues
  • Document, track, and support compliance with Service Level Agreements
  • Improve internal efficiency and customer satisfaction by proactively identifying opportunities to optimize existing or new services, processes, and tools.
  • Perform regular tailored customer account reviews to discuss customer performance metrics (Service Level Agreement, Customer satisfaction)
  • Drive issue resolution using standard process/procedures in coordination with supporting resources
  • Ensures contractual support service deliverables are understood and managed effectively
  • Proactively own and manage service delivery for high-visibility and high-touch customer relationships
  • Understand short and long-term customer goals and objectives as they relate to revenue cycle management and Change Healthcare
  • Regularly communicate with assigned account, set expectations and negotiate priorities appropriately
  • Develop highly effective relationships across all departments
  • Proactively manage, measure, track, and resolve customer issues to insure their timely resolution
  • Recognize and resolve systemic issues to prevent them from repeating
  • Regularly meet with customer executive management and others to triangulate on immediate and long-term customer needs
  • Partner with Sales to identify opportunities for Change Healthcare and the Customer to see impactful growth via utilization of existing solutions and continued adoption of Change Healthcares services/product offering.
  • Resolve customer issues by facilitating the coordination of efforts among Change Healthcares support organizations including but not limited to Customer Support, Technical Support, Operations, Product Development, Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales and Executive Leadership.
  • Keep the customer informed of key information that may be critical to their success (e.g. product roadmaps, new services, customer events, or organizational changes)
  • Lead projects that directly impact the customer, including process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform against metrics (Service Level Agreement, Customer satisfaction)
  • Partner with clients and help them follow best practices and optimize use of Change Healthcares services/products.
  • Communicate consistently with executive management regarding key escalations and priority issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience as an Account Manager or similar role, with emphasis on client accounts within healthcare revenue cycle management
  • Candidates for this position will be based in the North East of the United States. Preference for candidates based in NJ, NY, New England and/or Nashville, TN.

Education / Training:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Masters Degree in business or related field preferred

Critical Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive customer account experience
  • At least 5 years of experience with healthcare revenue-cycle management
  • 8-10 years of experience as an Account Manager or similar role, with emphasis on client accounts within healthcare revenue cycle management
  • Ability to manage cross-functional and interdepartmental teams to achieve client goals
  • A proven track record demonstrating good business judgment, an ability to make decisions, and a passion for excellence.
  • Proven ability to establish rapport, credibility and relationships at all levels within an organization including VP level and above
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large / strategic healthcare clients
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Ability to demonstrate supportive relationships with peers, clients, partners, and corporate management
  • Good technical skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills, including effective reporting of operations, issues and performance.
  • Excellent people and influencing skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team and navigate enterprise politics and matrixed relationships.
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to Change Healthcares Vision and Values
  • Travel Office environment, at least 25% travel required. Current State: We are all working virtual now.
