Overview

As a State Consultant, you will be working with and reporting to the Program Manager, and you will be responsible for the mapping, facility audit, selection, training, undertaking supportive supervision, distribution of equipment and other commodities, ensuring adherence to Sproxil's quality standards in assigned specific states.

Responsibilities

Facility Identification, Recruitment and ProviderTraining:

ImplementSproxil'spolicies, procedures, guidelines and manuals

Conduct mapping and facility audit of pharmacies to be recruited for malaria network membership

Workproactivelyandresponsiblytoensurerecruitedpharmacy outlets undergo the theoretical and practical training in line with FMOH and Sproxil's standards

Request budget, notify pharmacy outlets of training, oversee training, prepare physical and financial report following completion of the training, etc.

Ensure Sproxil's Malaria program is implemented according to the approved donor agreements and interests of Sproxil.

Prepare annual plan of operation based on the annual business plan of Sproxil.

Supply, Referral Systems, and Networking:

Lead distribution of supplies, and commodities and manage inventory in line with the medical supply distribution guidelines.

Ensure the availability of documentation, reports, guidelines, manuals, and job aids used by pharmacy outlets is in adequate quantity and track referral linkages of service utilization.

Facilitate, follow up and support outlets referral and reporting of incidents related to services.

Facilitate liaison of pharmacy with other institutions for demand generation, training practicum, linking and learning.

Monitoring, Supportive Supervision, and Reporting:

Conduct monthly or bi-monthly supportive supervision of pharmacy outlets.

Support pharmacies in documentation, record-keeping and ensure timely submission of reports.

Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly pharmacy performance reports on training and quality assessment activities of operation.

Ensure pharmacies maintain and comply with quality across all areas of operation in line with established standards set by the government and Sproxil.

Lead review meetings aimed at performance improvement based on supportive supervision, mentorship, and quality assessment findings.

Document best practices/lessons learned from operation.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in any relevant field

Experience, supportive supervision and quality assessment

2-3 years of demonstrated technical knowledge and successful expertise in designing, and managing clinical training in resource-poor settings

Experience with DfiD, USAID, and Gates-funded projects, including working in a diverse team environment preferred

Familiarity with the different cultural, social and religious identities in Northern Nigeria, international health, development issues and the international donor community

Must reside in Kano
