Service Center Solar Technician National Diploma Job

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Service Centre Solar Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining solar energy systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability, troubleshooting solar panels, inverters, batteries, and other system components.

Main Responsibilities


Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance on products, ensuring that they meet the company's quality standards.
Diagnose technical issues with products brought to the service center, identifying the root cause of malfunctions or failures.
Test repaired products to ensure they are fully functional and meet performance specifications before returning them to customers.
Provide customers with technical advice and support, offering solutions to prevent future issues.
Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work, including details of the issues diagnosed, parts replaced, and services performed.
Conduct thorough inspections of all products before and after repair to ensure they meet the company's quality standards.


Qualifications


Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Solar Technology, or a related field.
Apprenticeship or vocational training in solar PV installation, maintenance, or electrical systems is an advantage.
1–3 years of hands-on experience in solar system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, charge controllers, and battery storage.
Ability to diagnose and repair faulty solar components (panels, inverters, batteries, wiring, etc.).
Experience with testing equipment (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, etc.).
Understanding of electrical wiring, safety protocols, and compliance with industry standards.
