Job Summary
The role would collaborate with the Commercial department in managing and scheduling customer demand; this would involve forecasting future demand based on historical data, market trends. The role would also be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring warehouse minimizes carrying costs while ensuring that sufficient stock is available to meet customer demand.
Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and customer patterns to predict future demand for telecommunication assets.
Coordinate monthly forecast process with technical department to derive unconstrained demand plan.
Lead forums to review execution of aligned short term forecast.
Manage Material ageing process aimed at mitigating business loss from Slow & Obsolescence inventory.
Review Inventory management parameters which meet business strategies of cost reduction & expected service levels.
Derive monthly buying plan.
Oversee the implementation of Inventory management strategies defined for all asset / inventory class.
Support functional units by giving insights to data through analysis
Identify existing gaps / deficiency in reporting requirements and oversee projects that resolves such gaps.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any field / Supply chain or related field.
5+ years of demonstrated experience in demand & materials planning (Telecomms experience would be an advantage)
Professional certification in the supply chain would be an advantage.
