Senior Accountant HND / BA / BSc Job

Job Description

As the Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, managing a team, and driving strategic financial initiatives.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze financial statements.
Develop annual budgets and forecasts and monitor variances.
Analyze manufacturing costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Oversee inventory accounting processes and reconcile inventory counts.
Lead accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and debt
recovery functions.
Monitor cash flow, optimize working capital, and minimize financial risk.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns.
Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Relevant professional certifications from ICAN will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 5years of experience in accounting and finance roles.
Strong understanding of IFRS.
Experience with manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a team.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
