Job Summary
The Front Desk Officer is responsible for welcoming guests, managing appointments, and performing essential administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations at the front desk. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a compassionate demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must be a female residing in Port Harcourt.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist patients and visitors upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Answer phone calls courteously and respond to inquiries regarding hospital services and patient information.
Schedule appointments for patients and manage follow-up communications.
Maintain accurate records of patient information and appointments.
Assist with the completion of medical forms and documentation as required.
Handle payments and billing inquiries from patients.
Ensure the front desk area is organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Coordinate with other departments to facilitate patient flow and operational efficiency.
Manage incoming deliveries and correspondence.
Address patient complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
Provide information about hospital policies, procedures, and services available to patients.
Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Job Specifications
Educational Qualifications:
Minimum of ND in related field or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare administration or related fields is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Required Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in office software (e.g., MS Office) and familiarity with medical software systems is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
