Job Details
Develop and execute project plans aimed at financing climate-related activities and climate-resilient infrastructure;
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, development partners, private sector entities, and other domestic and global stakeholders, to mobilize support and resources for water resources and climate impact initiatives;
Coordinate the investment activities of the Lagos Water Partnership (LWP) while following up with members of the Partnership on the investment portfolio towards water resources development and management in Lagos.
Identify funding sources for climate-related initiatives including public and private sources.
Develop project proposals that attract climate funding for water resources and climate impact projects.
Coordinate and prepare investment proposals for identified projects by the LWP and outside the LWP framework.
Develop comprehensive project investment plans, including objectives, timelines, budget allocations, and resource requirements.
Requirements;
Bachelor's degree required, Master's or advanced degree preferred in a field related to Accounting, Project Finanace, Green Finance, Climate Finnace or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project financing, accounting, economics, business management or finanace related background.
Strong understanding of climate change issues, climate finance mechanisms, and sustainable development goals.
Experience in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation for climate-related initiatives.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.
Knowledge of environmental and social safeguards, compliance standards, and reporting requirements for climate finance projects.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
