Job Details

Purpose/Role:

This is a Production and Operational support position and is expected to work closely with Project/Ship Managers in establishing a production capacity work schedule for all Vessels, both at work initiation stage and during execution.

Key aims and objectives

At all times, comply with Company Policies, procedures and Instructions.
Create a capacity planning model for Shipyard Production as a whole that would be resource loaded and used in developing production forecasts for Shipyard.
Actively support in the upgrading the quality of Vessels work breakdown structures in Shipyard.
Issue Approved Specific Project/Vessel Plans and overall Shipyard activity plan showing the specific Vessel plans in the overall plan. Plans must detail clearly the logic and sequence of activities.
To co-ordinate effectively and in a timely manner, the integration of manpower resources from shared Service providers (such as rigging and Scaffolders).
Ensure all Planning related reports on Shipyard are approved by the Operations Manager and Issued to all in a timely manner.
Ensure all Progress information on ongoing Vessel works are approved by the Operations manager and Issued to Finance in a timely Manner at the end of each month.
Assist Shipyard in production forecast. 7 to 14 days forecasting.

Prime responsibilities and duties

Liaise with each Department responsible for providing Services to Shipyard to provide updated Manpower information for review and agreement by Shipyard Operations Manager.
At quotation development stage, work with Ship Managers to develop and approve a resource loaded logic plan, work breakdown structure and Checklist required to execute a work, as information necessary to support the issuance of a Shipyard Commercial proposal or quotation.
Support the Operations Manager in ensuring approved logic plan, work breakdown structure, and checklist are used as basis to monitor and control actual work execution.
Interface with Ship/Project Managers to schedule various activities of all shops (mechanical, pipes & valves, blasting, painting, electrical)
Collate all necessary planning information required to support month end closure and periodic business planning by Finance.
Electronic filing of on-going and completed schedules of each Project/Vessel.
Maintain and keep up to date the Projects Invoicing Register for invoices issued to, and Payments received from the Client
Work with Shipyard Operations Manager and HSEQ to establish logic plan as a quality plan.
Perform all other tasks as may be required to Support the Shipyard Operations Manager.
Liaise with the Proposals coordinator and support with Primavera schedule for each quote
