Responsibilities

Financial Record Keeping:

Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.

Record and classify financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Generate financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.

Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations.

Tax Compliance:

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary tax filings.

Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.

Audit Support:

Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.

Provide documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.

Financial Analysis:

Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

Provide financial insights to support decision-making.

Reconciliation:

Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and other financial discrepancies.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues.

Compliance and Regulation:

Stay up-to-date on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends.

Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Communication:

Communicate financial information clearly and concisely to internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional certification such as ACA is preferred.

Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

Minimum of four [4] years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting.
