Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our school in Abuja, Nigeria. As a Primary School Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, fostering intellectual and social development, and promoting a love for learning among our students.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of primary education principles, and the ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum guidelines.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and student participation.

Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the individual needs of students.

Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, tests, and examinations.

Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to support their academic and personal growth.

Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to enhance the overall educational experience.

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.

Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development activities.

Stay updated with the latest educational practices and teaching methodologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (a Degree in Primary Education is highly desirable).

Teaching certification or license from a recognized institution.

Minimum of 2 years work experience.

Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably in Nigeria or a similar cultural context.

Strong knowledge of the Nigerian primary school curriculum and educational standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.

Demonstrated ability to create and deliver engaging and interactive lessons.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in computer skills and the ability to integrate technology into teaching practices.
