Responsibilities
He/She will:
Perform a variety of technical laboratory procedures according to Guardian health hospitallaboratory Standard Operating Procedure and national standards.
Obtain patient specimens and use it to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease
Prepare tissue for microscopic examination
Determine blood type for transfusions and other purposes.
Conduct medical research and analyses.
Operates and maintains sophisticated instruments and equipments used in the department.
Maintains competence in Laboratory Information System that is crucial to the quality operations of the laboratory and patient care.
Actively participates in Quality Improvement Programs.Ensure that laboratory testing is accurate, timely and meets customer needs.
Document information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
Job Requirements
Minimum of OND qualification with 2 - 10 years relevant work experience.
He / she must be a licensed Medical Laboratory Technician.
Must be able to properly set up, calibrate, maintain, operate and shut down such instruments.
Must possess people skills
Good Communication skills
Able to work together as part of a team
Able to maintain a safe, clean work environment
Superb documentation skills
Must reside within Lagos.
