Mechanical Design Engineer Bachelor Degree Job

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS


3-5 years work experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
HND/BSc in Mechanical Engineering or suitable equivalent.
Understanding of Plumbing, Fire-fighting and HVAC Systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Proficiency in common design software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, Carrier HAP and others.
Must be able to work both autonomously or as part of a team to support the delivery of projects.
Project management skills.


DUTIES


Produce BOQs/BEMEs and detailed drawings for mechanical services projects as necessary.
Oversee and supervise projects from inception to completion with the required installation and safety standards.
Liaise closely with other professionals, including consultants (MEP and structural engineers), architects, in-house project teams in order to accomplish successful project completion.
Negotiate with clients / consultants in getting the best deal for projects in terms of customer satisfaction.
Negotiate with sub-contractors in getting the best deal for specific jobs to be handled by them.
Generate different reports on projects as necessary.
Prepare and make presentations for projects.
Work on a variety of projects.
