Job Summary


The Marine Chief Officer will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel's deck department, ensuring compliance with all safety and maritime regulations.


Responsibilities


Manage all deck operations, including cargo handling, mooring operations, and maintenance of deck equipment.
Oversee cargo operations, ensuring safe loading, unloading, and securing of cargo in accordance with regulations.
Maintain vessel safety systems, including firefighting equipment, life-saving appliances, and navigation systems.
Conduct navigation watches, ensuring safe navigation and compliance with collision regulations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime regulations, including SOLAS and MARPOL.


Qualifications


Valid Deck Officer certification.
Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) as a Master Mariner.
Master Mariner Class 2 certification (or higher) is required.
Extensive knowledge of deck operations, cargo handling, and maritime safety regulations.
