Maintenance/Electrical Engineer (Power) HND / BA / BSc Job

Primary Responsibilities

Perform regular inspections of the SGS facilities, machinery, generators and equipment, to identify and correct any potential hazard or malfunctions.
Develop and execute maintenance programs.
Coordinate preventative maintenance tasks to ensure that all equipment in the facility is in proper working condition.
Coordinate the safe and correct repair of faulty equipment, defined in scope of responsibilities.
Conduct Risk Assessments and Root Cause Analyses. Assess and qualify 3rd party maintenance vendors.
Oversee maintenance work done by third parties & ensure all company Health & Safety standards implemented before, during and after execution.
Ensure that all maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner and comply with legal and electrical regulations. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
Provide technical support and guidance to other departments within technical remit.
Ensure all electrical safety / control of energy / LOTO protocols are being adhered to.
Carry out tests and diagnostics to troubleshoot issues.
Act as Safety ambassador and carryout broader operational integrity assignment as may be assigned.

Profile

Maintenance or Electrical Engineer with industry certification(s) to demonstrating proficiency / license to work on electrical and power equipment / infrastructure.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Electrical / Power Equipment Maintenance (especially cabling)
Must demonstrate proficiency on putting together and executing Preventive Maintenance programs - show what done in past 5 years.
Proficiency in implementing Corrective Maintenance programs and repair projects in (Electrical / HVAC / Mechanical / generators).
Awareness of electrical and regulatory requirements to execute Electrical & Mechanical jobs.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
