Key Responsibilities

Sample Collection and Preparation:

Collect, label, and prepare samples for analysis.

Follow established protocols for sample handling and storage.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

Operate laboratory equipment and instruments used in experiments and analyses.

Ensure that equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.

Conducting Experiments and Tests:

Execute experiments and tests according to established procedures.

Record and analyze data, and report findings to senior staff.

Quality Control and Assurance:

Perform quality control checks on equipment and test results.

Ensure adherence to quality standards and protocols.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results.

Prepare reports and summaries for review by senior staff.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the laboratory.

Ensure that all experiments and activities comply with safety regulations.

Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage laboratory supplies and equipment inventory.

Order and restock materials as needed.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other team members, researchers, and scientists.

Communicate effectively to ensure the smooth flow of information.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and troubleshoot issues related to equipment or experimental procedures.

Propose and implement solutions to improve efficiency.

Prior to setting Emel Hospital, he worked for some time as consultant paediatrician at Ikeja General Hospital (now Lagos State University Teaching Hospital), Lagos. He is the board chairman and his wife, Dr. (Mrs) Margaret Mobolaji-Lawal is a non-executive director.
