Junior Mechanical Technician National Diploma Job

About The Role


Burn is looking for a Junior Mechanical Technician who will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and machinery.


Duties And Responsibilities


Attend to preventive maintenance and breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve, with minimal downtime to production
Assist in carrying out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner
Carry out maintenance repairs of mechanical machines
Resolve mechanical problems
Collaborate to reducing repair times in relation to machine downtime
Monitor and maintain records on the utilities' usage
Keep maintenance logs
Should be able to work on shift basis
Ensure a safe working environment exists for self and colleagues, EHS
Any other job as may be assigned by management


Skills And Experience


OND in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing sector
Understanding of Mechanical and Hydraulic Presses
