Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Head of Human Resources. As the Head of Human Resources, you will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions and operations within Medplus Pharmacy Limited.
Your day-to-day tasks will involve managing HR policies, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws.
This role is primarily located in Lagos, but flexibility for remote work is available.
Strategic HR Leadership:
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s overall business goals.
Advise Senior management on HR related matters and contribute to Strategic decision making
Talent Acquisition and Retention:
Oversee the recruitment and selection process to identify, attract and retain top talent.
Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop effective job descriptions.
Develop and implement effective onboarding programs for new employees.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
Manage employee relations, addressing concerns, disputes and performance issues.
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee’s engagement and satisfaction.
Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives.
Serve as a liaison between employees and management to address concerns and resolve issues
HR Information Systems (HRIS):
Implement and manage HRIS to streamline HR processes and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Generate HR metrics and reports to supports data driven decision-making.
Performance Management and Training:
Compensation and Benefits - Oversee payroll management and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and tax obligations
HR Policy Development, DEI and Employee Wellbeing
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Human Resources (HR) management and HR policies expertise
Deep understanding of labor and employment laws
Strong knowledge of employee relations and conflict resolution
Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, and onboarding
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is a plus.
