Finance Manager BSc - MSc Job

Location: Lagos

Job Objective

The job-owner is primarily responsible for coordinating the company's financial reporting, internal controls, and tax administration functions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports in compliance with the IFRS reporting standards. Also oversee the uploading of the financials on the Odoo platform

Prepare comprehensive financial forecasts, budgets, financial performance, and variance analysis.

Support the finance team in the generation of regular financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinate implementation of effective financial & cost management structures

Support the implementation of the organization’s strategic plan in a way that advances the company's mission and objectives and promotes revenue enhancement and company profitability.

Provide support during the annual external audit process, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, Sales & Marketing etc) to support strategic initiatives.

Compliance with tax requirements and support the tax consultants in resolving tax issues.

Compliance with other regulatory requirements as it relates to a publicly listed entity.

Requirements

B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance etc and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

Functional Competencies / Requirements:

Minimum of eight (8) years accounting experience

Experience in the preparation of group accounts/consolidated financial statements is a must. Applicants that do not have experience in this area need not apply.

Must be a chartered accountant with at least eight (8) years hands on experience.

Experience with a reputable 3rd tier local accounting firm or big 4 firm is desirable.

However, candidates with quality experience with a Publicly listed company (Plc) or a Group of companies would be highly considered.

Must be confident in the use of accounting software such as SAP, SAGE, Odoo etc.

Must be versatile in the use of Microsoft excel and PowerPoint.

Self-starter, well organised and knowledgeable in accounting standards/regulatory requirements
