Responsibilities:
Data Entry: Make error-free entries into the accounting system, ensuring data integrity, accuracy and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded following double-entry accounting principles
Monthly Closings: Assist in the monthly financial closing process by preparing various journal entries and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Financial Analysis: Perform regular financial analyses to help identify trends and provide actionable insights.
Supporting Schedules: Create and maintain detailed schedules supporting financial statement line items.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions match bank records, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
IFRS Compliance: Apply International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) principles in financial recording.
Expense Tracking: Monitor and analyze expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records and supporting documentation.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports as directed by the finance manager
Technical & Professional Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3 - 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles
Understanding of local tax laws and regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use formulas and pivot tables
Proficient in using accounting software (preferably Microsoft Dynamics)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial data
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong ethical standards and integrity
