Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented DSP Software Engineer to join our Signal Image Processing team to develop and support features to our product line of Ultrasound systems. This role will be programming primarily in C/C++ and will also make use of Ruby, Python. This person filling this role will need to have a good understanding of an operating system concepts and familiarity with basic image processing techniques. This role will work on cross-functional teams with a variety of disciplines to improve our products. This person will be required to write, debug, maintain, and test software that instructs a computer to accomplish certain tasks, such as saving information, performing calculations, etc. The DSP software engineer will convert what needs to happen into one of many programming languages, the most common of which being C, C++, Python, and MATLAB.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Experience with any or all of the following a huge plus: C/C++, Python, and Ruby (ruby on rails)
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivation, resourcefulness and independent action
  • Follow established standards for software design methodologies, coding, and documentation
  • Participate in the analysis, support and ongoing maintenance of all platforms
  • Responsible for all aspects in the software life cycles (software requirements and design, implementation, testing, documentation and maintenance) for assigned projects
  • Experience working in a team-based Agile environment (preferably Scrum) with evolving requirements
  • An inherent drive to solve problems and collaborate with others
  • Implement multi-threaded embedded software in maintainable source code, maximizing portability, design for re-use, and design for testability

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • Experience with developing applications using Python, Java, or C/C++
  • Familiarity with Git and developing software
  • Familiarity with at least 1 automated testing framework
  • Familiarity with SOLID concepts
  • Experience with debugging software

Skills and Abilities:

  • Javascript build-tools
  • Shell scripting using MATLAB or Ruby test frameworks
  • Some familiarity with ultrasound principles is a plus
  • Experience with DevOps tools and processes
