Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Global Operations and Supply Chain, the Global Quality Director position is responsible for planning and directing the quality improvement activities for Masonite's Global Businesses. The Global Quality Director will develop, implement, and manage the Masonite Quality Management System (MQMS) to ensure a best-in-class quality culture and discipline throughout the manufacturing footprint for Masonite.

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and continually improve the Masonite Quality Management System to ensure that customer's quality expectations are satisfied 100% of the time.

  • Establish global quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI) ensuring global standardization and tracking.

  • Leverage Masonite's Lean Management System (MVantage) to drive significant year-over-year improvements in Cost of Quality.

  • Drive a zero-defect quality culture across the organization.

  • Establish and conduct regular Quality Review Board meetings to ensure improved quality performance.

  • Work with business units and monitor annual progress toward MQMS certification.

  • Act as liaison to the Masonite Innovation Center (MIC) on new product platform development and launches.

  • Coordinate with global supplier quality to ensure robust supplier quality processes are in place.

  • Ensure the latest technologies are leveraged within the MQMS and deployed globally.

  • Be the role model for safety, quality, service and environmental performance across the organization.

  • Travel 50%+.


  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Masters preferred

  • Minimum 15+ years in industrial manufacturing.

  • Minimum 10+ years as a quality leader, 5+ in managerial capacity.

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred or other equivalent lean certification.

  • Experience in developing quality systems.

  • Quality system auditing experience.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and experience working in a matrix reporting relationship.
