Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Depot Manager to join our dynamic team.

You will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols.

You will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for optimizing processes.

Responsibilities

Warehouse and Logistics Management:

Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.

Develop and implement efficient logistics processes to optimize inventory flow and distribution.

Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.

Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Last Mile Delivery (B2B):

Manage last mile delivery operations for B2B customers, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries.

Coordinate delivery schedules and routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.

Work closely with delivery drivers to ensure compliance with delivery protocols and customer service standards.

Resolve delivery-related issues and address customer inquiries or concerns in a timely manner.

Team Leadership:

Lead and motivate warehouse and delivery teams to achieve performance targets and deliver exceptional service.

Provide coaching and training to enhance team capabilities and productivity.

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Inventory Management:

Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize stockouts, overstocking, and losses.

Utilize inventory management systems to track stock movements, monitor inventory levels, and forecast demand.

Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to manage incoming shipments and maintain adequate inventory levels.

Quality Control:

Implement quality control measures to maintain the accuracy and integrity of inventory and deliveries.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Address any discrepancies or issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.

Reporting and Analysis:

Generate reports on warehouse and delivery performance, including inventory levels, order fulfillment, and delivery metrics.

Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization.

Provide regular updates and insights to senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning efforts.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the FMCG / eCommerce or distribution industry.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software.

Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
