Job Details

LifePoint Health Business Services, located in Johnstown, PA, is a centralized revenue cycle service center supporting multiple hospitals in the LifePoint Health network. Services provided by LifePoint Health Business Services range from hospital billing to claims follow up and customer service.

This position allows the opportunity allows for immediate work from home status

Responsible for the review, research and resolution of denied claims.

Reviews accounts and take appropriate actions based on the type of denial and department procedure.

Follows the appropriate process flows depending on denial criteria: Claim Reprocessing (calling payers), Appeals and Claim Adjustments.

Forwards corrections encompassing patient demographics, updated insurance information and charge discrepancies to appropriate analysts or facilities.

Works in conjunction with inter departments and facilities to obtain all necessary data to aid in appeal process of denials (Coders, Clinical Appeal Nurses and Case Management)

Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent Required
Two years of college Preferred
Associate’s degree Preferred

Minimum Required Work Experience

One (1) year healthcare revenue cycle

Required Skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Requires critical thinking skills, problem solving, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
