Data Center Projects Engineer PhD / Fellowship Job

Responsibilities

Lead a team of technical officers and technicians for Mechanical facilities management activities (i.e.: fire protection system, pumps, Chillers, CRAC and CRAH Units, Generator Engines (Heavy Duty) etc

Advice and lead the technical investigations for rectification works.

Liaise with contractors for rectification works or ad-hoc jobs.

Investigate, analyze and determine root cause and report breakdowns and faults effectively.

Prepare technical reports on breakdowns and proposals to prevent future breakdowns.

Carry out any other ad-hoc project, assignment, maintenance, or repair work assigned.

Ensure complete documentation of procedures and maintenance works.

Assist the Facilities Manager in liaising with the client for all works related to the system in-charge.

Identify single point of failures and provide mitigation plan.

Conduct Technical Audit to ensure that safety procedures, good maintenance regime and good building system condition are in place and maintained.

Develop Practical Training regime and conduct relevant training to improve the critical Facility Engineering team competency.

Participate in Change Management, and Engineering process in any engineering work related assignment.

Responsible for Capacity Planning for any new customer projects

Provide specific expertise for problem-solving of Mechanical issues at site.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering related field

Preferably at least 5-7 years of relevant building, facilities & Continuous Process Industries, Large Malls and Hotels, Distilleries, Large Hospitals and should have Management experience

Possess leadership quality, good planning and organizing ability.

Exposure in Mechanical maintenance work or Facilities Management and Health & Safety Practice.
