What you’ll be doing...
You’ll be front and center, hands-on and contributing your creative energy, and the skills and experiences you’ve gained in your MBA program to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects in our Verizon Corporate Strategy Organization that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program. Fueled by the Verizon 5G future, the New Business Incubation (NBI) team is anchored in the Corporate Strategy organization of Verizon and provides a focused effort to generate new business concepts built upon the strength of Verizon's best-in-class network, broad customer base and massive capabilities. Incubating these ideas from new to big portfolio entities, the NBI team is made up of passionate innovators that manage strategy, full stack team execution (business development & partnerships, business operations, product, engineering, sales, marketing, etc) and profit & loss (P&L) responsibilities. Today, the NBI portfolio spans location technology, drone and aviation services, robotics and other nascent technologies that will accompany our future.
As a Corporate Strategy MBA Intern, you may have the opportunity to:
Leverage your experience to partner in business development or product development assignments.
Use analytical skills to create strategic concepts to drive the business forward.
Execute on improvement projects aimed at achieving strategic and financial objectives.
Understand and analyze various drivers impacting key metrics and outcomes and provide a fact-based recommendation to the stakeholders.

You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered.
Our 2021 summer internship program will be virtual, however the posted Verizon location will be your assigned work location.

You’ll need to have:
Current enrollment in a MBA program majoring in Computer Science, Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business or a related major with an expected completion date between December 2021 and June 2022.
Four or more years of work experience within Strategy, Product Development, Statistics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
Willingness to work in Denver, CO. (the internship program will be virtual, however the posted location will be your assigned office location).
Even better if you have:
Strong analytical, financial acumen, communication, leadership and presentation skills.
Experience with database management programming and data visualization software. Emphasis on Python, R, and SQL.
Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, relationship management and attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving, team environment.
Experience in telecom, high-tech, or related industries.
In addition to building your skills and experiences, you will be eligible to participate in our robust 401(k) Savings Plan which provides a dollar-for-dollar company match on the first 6% of your contributions as a percentage of your eligible pay. You will also be eligible for holiday pay, as applicable.
The compensation range for this position is between $20 - $25/hour. The salary will vary depending on your role and class year.
