Job Summary
The responsibilities of the cooling truck supervisor include coordinating the timing and delivery of products to wholesale trucks and trailers.
Work with branches and other customers to ensure the best quality from the cooler. Supervise and manage the daily work of department teammates; create and maintain schedules and job assignments. Cover vacations/early load-outs when needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Keep records, monitoring drivers, daily logs for errors or violations, and their working hours and truck availability.
Supervise drivers’ performance, allocate driver assignments, and ensure compliance with safety
standards, and maintain all trucks in top working order.
Ensure that all Trucks comply with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements, and where necessary escalate any identified issues and recommend a resolution to the management.
Train drivers in department policies and procedures, and maintain drivers’ conduct.
Serve as a point of contact for customers and address complaints.
Schedule drivers and assigns routes to maximize productivity.
Ensure all documentation is processed and complete before take-off and during off-loading.
Requirements
Candidate should possess a BSc / HND in any related field.
Supervision Experience.
1-3 years of working experience preferably in logistics, supply chain management or transportation.
