Job Summary


The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing and publishing daily news stories, covering breaking news, and producing original content that meets our editorial standards and drives audience growth.


Key Responsibilities


Write original, accurate, and SEO-friendly news articles across various categories
Monitor press releases, government updates, and credible sources for news leads
Report breaking stories promptly and factually
Work with editors to meet content deadlines and editorial expectations
Upload and format articles using WordPress CMS
Adhere to the News About Nigeria editorial style and ethical standards.


Requirements


Degree or experience in journalism, mass communication, English, or related field (preferred)
Excellent writing and research skills
Strong command of written English
Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital publishing tools
Ability to write under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Experience using WordPress or other CMS platforms is an advantage
Interest in Nigerian current affairs and news cycles.
