Responsibilities

Lead and manage the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Oversee financial reporting and ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial statements.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize financial performance and drive growth.
Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and other financial stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards within the oil and gas industry.
Monitor and manage cash flow, debt, and capital expenditures.
Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and the Board of Directors, helping shape the company’s long-term direction.
Oversee risk management strategies, including hedging, insurance, and other risk mitigation measures.
Lead the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with operational goals.
Evaluate and implement financial software and systems to enhance financial operations and reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA is highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry-specific financial practices.
Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing finance team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
Experience with mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate financing strategies is an added advantage.
