Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, engineers, and non-clinicians, to understand procurement requirements and develop effective procurement strategies.

Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for medical equipment, consumables, and related services based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in medical technology.

Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.

Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.

Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality and maintenance standards.

Work within procurement team to manage inventory levels, minimize supply chain disruptions, and optimize inventory turnover.

Collaborate with the equipment maintenance team to ensure proper installation, calibration, and maintenance of purchased equipment.

Stay informed about regulations and certifications relevant to medical equipment procurement, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering and Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Proven 3-5 years of experience in biomedical and clinical procurement, with a strong understanding of medical equipment and consumables.

Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.

Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and build strong supplier relationships.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.

Familiarity with equipment maintenance processes and quality assurance in procurement.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.

Certification in procurement or supply chain management is an advantage.
