Niroga Institute seeks a part-time (20 hours a week) Administrative Assistant to help a dynamic non-profit in its office in a variety of capacities. The Administrative
Assistant will be responsible for all inventory management, donor tracking, related administrative and financial functions as well as other tasks as needed.
Niroga Institute is a non-profit organization that seeks to foster health and well-being through the practice of yoga for at-risk and underserved individuals, families and communities through outreach, education and research. Niroga brings Transformative Life Skills (TLS), a multi-modality intervention including yoga, breathing techniques and meditation, to vulnerable populations such as cancer survivors, the elderly, and people battling addiction, as well as children and youth who are abused, neglected, homeless, delinquent or incarcerated. Our programs are widely viewed as a front-line prevention and early intervention strategy for violence reduction, education and mental health.
Principal responsibilities include:
Maintain organization of inventory information including quantities on hand, re-order points and tracking shipping/receiving transactions. Create inventory reports for management. Manage the prepping, shipping, and ordering of products and supplies. Enter and track data for invoicing and estimates into Quickbooks.
Tracking donor information in Salesforce. Send acknowledgement letters. Assist in the administration and development of Salesforce for Niroga. Coordinate end of year donor mailing. Solicit volunteers to assist in mailing.
Answer incoming calls in the office. Familiarity with Niroga’s products and trainings.
Position will be located in Niroga’s office and will be Monday through Fridays from 1pm to 5pm, with occasional Saturdays.
Ability to handle multiple areas of responsibilities; Ability to prioritize and adjust to shifting workload.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong written/oral communication, numerical and problem solving skills.
Availability to work Monday through Fridays from 1pm-5pm, with occasional Saturdays.
Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of professional work experience.
Ability to drive with valid driver's license, auto insurance, and access to use of an automobile.
Ability to climb stairs as well as lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Experience with inventory management, bookkeeping, finance or similar role with knowledge of shipping and receiving.
Basic competency in Excel, Quickbooks and Salesforce.
Previous small office experience with a non-profit.
Paid $19 to $20 per hour depending on qualifications, along with health insurance and paid time off.
