Key Objective:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring financial transactions, processing invoices and maintaining financial records.
S/he will play a crucial role in contributing to the overall financial health of the company by providing efficient and reliable accounting support.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Monitor and control expenses to ensure they are within budget.
Process payroll on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy.
Maintain accurate records and track payments.
Ensure timely payment of invoices.
Prepare and submit financial reports to the Head of accounts.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Assist with audits and tax returns.
Perform any other duties as assigned by head of accounts/operations.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
Minimum of OND in Accounting or any other related courses.
3 years of experience as an account's assistant in any reputable organization.
AAT certification will be an added advantage.
High proficiency in Sage/Peach tree accounting software.
Strong numeracy and accuracy skills, along with the ability to learn quickly.
Display a flexible, professional approach and have the confidence and ability to communicate effectively.
Demonstrate the ability to cope with deadlines and ensure timely delivery of tasks.
Be a good team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Must be detail oriented.
Good knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and procedures necessary to produce deliverables
